To say I don't cook much would be something of an understatement. But I do have my moments. One of my dishes (maybe my only) is a sausage pappardelle from Trader Joe's.
The whole meal, including wine, is just eight items, so it's perfect for the express checkout. I think it's just eight items. Wait. Six...seven...eight—ok we're good. Whew!
I remove the casing from the sausages and fry them up while the onions and peppers sauté in the other pan.
Then I dump the meat and veggies into the sauce, and let that go for at least an hour.
Then, viola! A Trader Giotto's feast! That wasn't so difficult.
Or was it? And I wonder why I don't cook very much.
My sketchcrawl would begin with a vanilla latte and a cornetto at Caffe Roma (1.) I then stopped for lunch at Mario's Bohemian Cigar Store (2.) After eating, I rounded the corner on Union and sketched a hat from Gorin Brothers Hat Shop (3.) Next I walked down to Grant Street and stopped at Cafe Trieste to paint the sign on the corner of Grant/Vallejo (4.) Finally, I headed back to Columbus and stopped for a second lunch at L'Osteria del forno, (5.) thus concluding my sketch/binge crawl. Would you believe I had dinner later?

An off the cuff interview I did for www.nopalize.com, a website I contribute illustrated stories to. Nopalize is a media entity spanning many disciplines, geared toward telling stories about good food, wine, and the people who provide them.
Here's an excerpt:
The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 9,900 times in 2013. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 4 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
The Blue Bottle Irish Coffee should do the trick!
Ah,much better now!
November 20th -November 27th
Packed pretty light—just the Tom Bihn Smart Alec and the Co-Pilot.
Going in style—on United. This is my view for 10+ hrs.
Oh, but "Grown Ups 2" should keep me entertained.
Nori was kind enough to let me charge my phone at the counter.
Time to check in to my capsule hotel and call it a night after a long day.
Good Morning! I better get down to the showers before it gets too busy.
GOOD NEWS: I didn't lose the second JR pass.
Time to go home— at least I'm flying ANA on the way back. All in all, a great trip. I saw the koyo (fall colors) at their peak while covering a lot of ground in a short amount of time. Yet I didn't feel too rushed. It was too bad about losing the JR pass, but I didn't let that get in the way of enjoying my trip.
