Farmer's Market - Ferry Building
Peaches from the Farmer's Market on a Saturday morning. September 4th, to be exact. I like the breakfast from the Hayes Street Grill's stand around the back. I was too hungry to draw it.

This is the lomo saltado from Fresca on Fillmore. Say that ten times fast. Steak, french fries, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and a side of white rice. They're supposed to have good ceviche as well, but I have yet to try it.
I like sitting at the bar at Garibaldi's, either for a drink or maybe their signature Garibaldi's burger. It's also an opportunity to chat with the bartenders and the locals alike. The Happy Hour is pretty decent--half off the bar menu (which includes the Garibaldi's burger.)
The Chip Shot. A variation of the Irish coffee.
Pepper Grinder
For freshly squeezed cocktails.
Tacolicious is well named. No need for me to ramble on about it, you don't look any further than the description of the queso to comprehend the goodness:
"Local? No. Sustainable? No. Delicious? You bet!"
Guac!
Yeah, ate it before I could sketch it. But I'll be back.
With a friendly staff, great food, and great atmosphere, Woodhouse is one of those places I can show up and have a great lunch or dinner.
There's a lot to choose from on the menu, and they have an exhaustive list of specials. Featured here is the toasted buttered Dungeness roll.
And cup of clam chowder, New England style.
"What's this 'bite radius' crap?"
Sweet tomato sauce...tasty corn meal crust...delicious blue star wheat...mmm Little Star.
This is the place to be on a warm sunny day on Fillmore Street. I try to get there before they run out of morning buns (the best of the pastries there.) I usually ask them to heat mine up a little. Nothing compares to a freshly squeezed OJ and a fresh-out-of-the-microwave morning bun. 2016 Fillmore St (between Pine St & California St)
The owners of Luella and Tomasso's have launched a lunch project called Eat Me Lunch at The Vin Club on 515 Broadway. This was a delicious grilled cheese and tomato soup which hit the spot on a cold rainy Friday. Menu changes weekly.

If you can negotiate the convoy of Maclaren strollers and typical Chestnut Street lunch crowds, you'll be treated to some great sandwiches and salads at Blue Barn. That tuna sandwich is quite tasty, and their salads are generously portioned. The staff is quite friendly as well. Best to call ahead and place your order in advance.
